Although there is no true cure for flat feet and you may have had it all of your life, there are still ways to prevent the complications flat feet brings. There are several different things you can do in order to strengthen your feet and prevent further pain and issues associated with flat feet.
Activity #1: Tippy-Toe Walk
Stand on your tippy-toes and slowly walk around the room for 5 minutes on a daily basis.
Activity #2: Toe Flexing
Lay on the floor and pick an object in the general vicinity and lift your foot and point your toe at it for 5-10 seconds. Perform this exercise ten times a day with each foot.
Activity #3: Toe Spreads
Sit down in a chair and spread your toes out on each foot as far as you can. Once they are fully separated, hold this exercise for 10 seconds and repeat ten times a day.
Activity #4: Walking On The Side Of Your Foot
In an open room, bend your knees slightly and roll your foot over to the outside. Once you have done this, balance your weight on the outside of your foot and carefully move your toes up. Hold this pose for 5-10 seconds and repeat five times a day on each foot.
Activity #5: Sand Walking
If possible, walking through the sand barefooted is one of the most efficient ways to strengthen your flat feet. Do this at least one time a week to build your muscle up in your feet.
