Dr. Shawn Khademi received his degree as a graduate of the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, IL. He then completed his residency training at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts where he held the title of Chief Resident in his final year.
During his residency training, Dr. Khademi had the opportunity to work with some of the top practitioners in the country and was educated in all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery. His training was largely focused on reconstructive surgical procedures of the forefoot and rearfoot with particular emphasis on revisional surgery; he has experience and a special interest in trauma, diabetic limb salvage, and adult flatfoot reconstruction. Dr. Khademi believes in a conservative approach when appropriate and strongly emphasizes patient-centered care in order to provide the best possible medical and surgical outcome.
Dr. Khademi is an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons as well as the American Podiatric Medical Association. He is in the process of obtaining staff privileges at Advocate Sherman Hospital, Advocate Good Shepard Hospital, Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital and Algonquin Road Surgery Center.
Dr. Khademi is a native of the Pacific Northwest and is proud to have grown up in the suburbs of Seattle, Washington. After having spent the last 13 years living in the Bay Area, Seattle, Chicago and Boston for his education, he is happy to be returning to Illinois to settle down with his wife. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife doing outdoor activities, traveling, and cooking.
